I will always remember the first time I put real mozzarella in my mouth. And indescribable sensation - which is not much good if you want to read about it so I will elaborate.
I’m at the supermarket - “Nine dollars? for a plastic container of Mozzarella… Ok, let’s see what real mozzarella is all about.” [...]

The traffic had stopped, despite the honking, so we got out into the heat and walked up Staunton Street in Hong Kong. We ducked into Nanbantei Yakatori and after a breif discussion about which Sake to order we let the waiter decide, which was soon over ruled by the waiter that knew Philippa.
Edamame, Beers and [...]
I floated down an alley way, following my nose, just like a Walt Disney cartoon. I arrived at the bottom of a column of smoke, barbequed chicken and whole fish, in a hawkers market in Patong, Phuket. I watched the stalls for a while before fumbling my way through a lunch order. A confused smile [...]
I remembered it was somewhere on Spring Street from a previous visit. It’s small so the first time I walked past it because I was distracted by a wine shop, the second time I walked past it was because I was distracted by the woman in the wine shop. So I popped into The Hotel [...]

What I am missing:
The sour dough roll, with Swiss cheese and a healthy chunk of ham off the bone from Astoria and Midland Sushi…
What I am loving:
Migos on Flinders Lane. Melbourne is full of these little sandwich joints, but this one is H.O.T ! Toasted focaccia’s (chicken schnitzel, steak, burger, mushroom, salami, duck) served [...]
I’ve just visited Petrini’s in Ferrymead and bought fresh wild Porcini, dried Morels, Jamon Iberico, Buche du Chevre, Roquefort, Tellagio, Baguette and vin de table…
So, when I get home I will raid the garden and cook up a storm.
The only thing I’ve put in my mouth that made me smile is a chilli chocolate ganache [...]
